The free expo helps landlords, letting agents and those considering entering the market to access practical advice and support, especially around keeping up to date with legislation around buying and letting properties.
The event will be held from 11am to 6pm on Thursday 26 March 2020, at the Exhibition and Conference Centre at the University of the West of England.
Speakers will be covering tax issues, property investment advice, finance options and more. Delegates can browse over 50 exhibitors, from financial experts and tax advisors to letting agents, tradespeople and suppliers.
Representatives from the local authorities in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset will also be available to answer questions and ensure that landlords are up to date with current regulations and responsibilities.
Councillor Paul Smith, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Housing at Bristol City Council, said: “We’re pleased to see the Landlord Expo entering its 20th year. In that time, the expo has attracted over 9,000 landlords and run over 360 informative seminars for attendees.
“While the number of legal requirements that landlords must comply with has grown over the years, the expo has provided a valuable way for us to inform and support landlords and lettings agents across the West of England.
“And as the demand for housing continues to grow, it is vital that we maintain strong relationships with our landlords and do all we can to help both landlords and tenants get the best out of their properties.”
The Landlord Expo is free to enter with free parking, refreshments and talks. The event is paid for by the exhibitors and organised by the four west of England local authorities.
