A section of Bishport Avenue in Hartcliffe will be closed for one day for resurfacing to repair a section of damage to the highway.
Bristol City Council contractors will begin work on the morning of Wednesday 15 January with the works expected to take one day to complete.
Repairs are required after a number of potholes near the junction of Bishport Avenue and Murford Avenue deteriorated over the Christmas period.
Diversions will be in place from 7am to 5pm on Wednesday 15 January and an alternative route for local buses is in place.
Information on diversions to bus services can be found on the Travelwest website, local radio and drivers are asked to allow extra time for journeys.
