OPERATIONAL NOTE: Diversion to m2 and Bristol Airport Flyer service next week

The guideway and road leading to the Ashton Avenue Swing Bridge will be closed to buses from 6am on Tuesday 9 July until 6am on Friday 12 July.

The closure is for inspection work on the bridge. The closure will affect the m2 and Bristol Airport Flyer services, with diversions in place. The pedestrian and cycling routes across the bridge will remain open during this time.

The m2 will divert via Cumberland Road and Brunel Way in both directions before re-joining its normal route.

The A1 will operate the same diversion but include Colliters Way (A4174) before re-joining its normal route.

The following stops will be closed in both directions:

  • Cumberland Basin
  • Ashton Gate
  • Ashton Vale
  • Brookgate (North Somerset)

Real time information messages and signage at the stops will direct passengers to the nearest operational stop during the closure.

Details of the diversions in place and bus stops affected can also be found at www.travelwest.info/gwayclose.
