The Bristol and Bath Railway Path will be closed for up to two days as part of essential improvement works.
The council is carrying out further resurfacing work in the area beside the Chocolate Factory in Easton to rectify problems with the newly laid surface.
Last month work took place to resurface the path, including the removal of tree roots and laying of new tarmac. Tree roots have caused considerable damage in this location.
Whilst the removal of the tree roots was a success, the quality of the surfacing was below the acceptable standard, and the contractor will now be carrying out work to correct this.
The path will be closed between Gordon Road and Bruce Road during the week beginning June 10, 2019.
A diversion will be in place on site and you can download a map detailing the diversion at http://www.bristol.gov.uk/railwaypathclosure
Disruption to journeys will be kept to a minimum.
