Now in its nineteenth year, the Landlord Expo, held on 2 April, will feature over 90 exhibitors ranging from financial experts, tax advisors and solicitors, letting agents, tradespeople and suppliers.
Hosted at the Exhibition and Conference Centre at the University of the West of England, the event is aimed at anyone who is already a landlord or letting agent, or who is considering entering the private rented market, and is sponsored by the Deposit Protection Service. There will be a programme of seminars during the day covering information on finance options and tax issues for landlords, property investment advice and an update about extended mandatory licensing.
Councillor Paul Smith, Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “We have recognised the ever increasing list of legal requirements and changes that private landlords need to comply with and this event is one way to help them stay ahead of the curve.
“It will provide landlords with practical advice and support, while also highlighting the current requirements and responsibilities expected of them.
“As the population of the West of England continues to grow and the demand for housing increases, it is essential that we can help private landlords and letting agents offer well-managed accommodation.”
The exhibition is organised by the four West of England Local Authorities; South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset, and Bath & North East Somerset.
The event will take place on Tuesday 2 April between 11am and 6pm. It is free to enter, has free parking, and offers free refreshments. The event is paid for by event sponsors and exhibitors.
