Council publishes senior executive remuneration review

Bristol City Council has today (11 March 2019) received a report from the Council’s External Auditors, BDO, which includes statutory recommendations made under Schedule 7 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014.

The report details the findings of the external auditor’s review of senior executive remuneration as part of the Audit for the year ended 31 March 2018.

A spokesperson for the Council said: “The Council has received a report from its external auditors BDO. We are open to feedback and challenge which helps us continuously improve. This report will be considered by councillors at a meeting of Full Council on Tuesday 19 March. We will provide a formal response to the report later this week, the contents of which will be considered by the same meeting of Full Council.”

The report will be considered at the next meeting of Full Council on Tuesday 19 March, 6pm at City Hall, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR.

The Council is required to respond to the auditor’s recommendations and a full response will be published ahead of the meeting for Councillors to consider alongside the report and its recommendations.

Councillors and members of the public wishing to submit questions for this item will need to email them to democratic.services@bristol.gov.uk by 12pm on Friday 15 March.

Statements must be received by 12pm Monday 18 March. A maximum of 2 questions per member of the public is permitted and should be addressed to the Mayor or relevant Cabinet Member.
