Additional closures announced for planned overnight works at Temple Gate

Due to recent wet weather additional road closures are required at Temple Gate to install anti-skid surfacing.

Last week’s wet weather caused delays to programmed works at the Temple gate site. Installation of the High Friction Surfacing (HFS) must be done under relatively dry conditions to ensure it properly adheres to the road.

Work to install the HFS will include additional road closures this week and the programme has been extended for a further five nights, finishing on Friday 18 October.

The below road closures will be in operation from 8pm to 6am, Monday to Friday. Local businesses will remain open as usual and pedestrian routes will be maintained during all closures. Diversions to bus services can be found on the Travelwest website. Drivers are instructed to follow diversions on site and allow extra time for their journeys.
