The annual Landlord Expo returns next week

The South West’s biggest landlord exhibition returns to Bristol next week.

The Landlord Expo is sponsored by Less Tax 4 Landlords and features over 90 exhibitors ranging from financial experts, letting agents, trades people and suppliers. Every contact a landlord might need - all under one roof.

There is a full packed programme of seminars during the day, including; information on tax issues for landlords, property investment advice, a landlord checklist, section 21 notices and landlord mortgage options.

Landlords will be able to talk to the council’s new lettings team about how the council can help them find good tenants for their properties. Incentives on offer include, rent in advance, help with certification, tenants checks and ongoing support.

The aim of the West of England Landlord Expo is to improve the private rented sector by sharing information and best practice with landlords, prospective landlords, letting agents and managers.

All seminars are free to attend and don’t require pre-booking.

The event, which is being held in Exhibition and Conference Centre at the University of the West of England, is aimed at anyone who is already a landlord or letting agent, or who is considering entering the private rental market.

Steven Barrett, Service Director for Housing Delivery, said: “Private landlords are facing an ever increasing list of legal requirements that they need to comply with, and in addition recent tax changes mean that for many landlords their profits will be reduced.

“This event will provide landlords with practical advice and support, while also highlighting the current requirements and responsibilities expected of them.

“We hope that this event can help cut through the red tape and make sure landlords are able to get the best out of their properties.”

With information stands, seminars and demonstrations, the annual event informs private landlords, letting agents and other investors of the wide range of commercial and council services available to them.

The event is organised by the four West of England Local Authorities; South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset, and Bath & North East Somerset.

The event on Thursday May 25 is free to enter, has free parking, and offers free refreshments. The event is paid for by event sponsors and exhibitors.
